A foundational program of the Jake K Foundation
- Support the process of change from active addiction to recovery
- Link affected families to additional education
- Provide limited funding for entry into long-term recovery facilities based on fund balance and eligibility. We do not take requests for specific programs or from service providers.
- Collaborate with recovery facilities to increase stability for people in early recovery
- Provide meaningful volunteer opportunities to recovery mentors
- Support the recovery collateral building efforts of clients and coaches
- Inspire clients to be of service to others seeking recovery
- Create opportunity for all members of the recovery community for volunteerism
We do not own or operate, or partner with any recovery treatment centers, but we do provide entry fee scholarships for community-based recovery programs that are six months or longer in duration. Each recovery community we fund uses a model that requires a resident to be self-supporting, accountable, and motivated to build recovery and life skills. Upon entry into a program, the “recoveree” is then assisted in finding employment and works to stay for the remaining 5+ months of the program. All applicants must meet our criteria for funding: we consider our role as stewards of the goodwill of others a very serious commitment.
You can help us sponsor one person for their first 30-days at a solution- based facility for $1200 by making a donation or by contacting us to set up a scholarship fund with the Jake K Foundation.
